Musician, composer & arranger
Career As a boy growing up in a musical family, I received drum lessons at the age of 6 and learned from Rainer Rumpel and Hermann Kock, among others. A few years later I discovered my love for the trombone and also began taking classical and modern trombone lessons at the Mainz Conservatory. For several years I was accompanied by lecturers such as Ludwig Nuss, Joe Gallardo, Felix Degenhardt or Heiko Hubmann and Jens Hunstein, mainly in the career of jazz and pop musicians. My instruments now include the piano as well as the trumpet and flugelhorn, in addition to those mentioned above. I made the greatest progress with my school big band at the time, IKS Swingkids, which was represented several times among the best school big bands in Germany, not least at the federal level. I also played for several years as a trombonist in the Hessen State Youth Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Wolfgang Diefenbach. The most exciting moments I experienced until 2018 with my own band "Windkraft12" from the Rhein-Main area. In addition to countless concerts at events such as the Schlossgrabenfest Darmstadt, Altrheinfest Ginsheim, Kurparklauf Bad Homburg or the Hessentag in Rüsselsheim, a concert in the Frankfurt Festhalle with Andy Ost's "Concert of Life" was also part of the vita of the specially founded band. In addition to my occasional work as a trombonist with the Frankfurt "SwingSize Orchestra" or the "Shellac Soloists", I have been an integral part of the IKS BigBand as a trumpeter for several years and now and then find the pleasure of working as a conductor together with Horst Aussenhof . Due to the professional circumstances, however, the scope of my musical activities has decreased considerably in recent years, which still does not take away the fun and joy of making music.
Music is the language we all understand.
It expresses that which cannot be said and about which it is impossible to remain silent.
